REDESIGN

I have previously sewn and donated a number of bags for the Norwegian Mission Society's Christmas fair. I have received old embroidery and some fabrics from their thrift store and flea market. I have transformed them into bags. This time I have sewn a fairly large bag with half of an embroidered picture on the front. The other half of the picture turned into a bag last year. The orange fabric inside is also reuse, I think it has been a tablecloth. It has a zip pocket and open pockets inside.  Then we can hope that there will be normal Christmas fairs  again in the autumn.

I hagen min blomstrer Forsythiaen nå. In my garden, the Forsythia is blooming now.

Da var vi heldigvis tilbake ved bilen:) And even though it's a little cold, the trees are getting greener. It was beautiful out today. But only half an hour after these pictures were taken, there was a heavy hailstorm! Then we were luckily back by the car :)

  2. The bag is lovely! And so is the Forsythia. I wish we had room to plant one in our yard but unfortunately we don't.
Good thing you were not caught in the hailstorm. Spring seems to bring days when you get all kinds of mixed up weather.

  3. That bag is SO beautiful - first because of all the love that has gone into creating the embroidery and second because of the love which you put into making it into a bag and finally because it is recycling and repurposing , so it is helping the earth, Well done Marit

  4. Your weather changed so quickly! What a gorgeous bag you created. I guess they call that "upcycling" today. Yes, I hope that the world will return to non-COVID functioning soon...
