Welcome to new visitors and GROW YOUR BLOG PARTY! I love to blog and visit other bloggers, and it is fun to learn to know new bloggers. So I have joined the GROW YOUR BLOG party hosted by Vickis - 2 bags Full
I started my blog 6 years ago when our youngest son left the nest. I got more time for crafts and started the blog as a kind of journal of what I made. Now I also post about events and travels, and some everyday life. I soon learned that it was so much fun and inspiration to visit and follow other bloggers. And hopefully my blog can give others inspiration too. If you find my blog interesting to follow, there are different options for signing up at the right side of here.
KNITTING
What I do most is knitting. Last year I followed a knit-along of mittens/wristwarmers. I was lucky to win a prize that was drawn among those who had knitted mittens all 12 months.
I won a pattern and yarn, and I have just finsihed those mittens.
SEWING
I also like to sew. Last year I didn't sew much but I have decided to sew more this year. I started with a Christmas table runner. You can read more about it HERE. I think January is the best time of year to sew for Christmas :) I am dreaming about making a big quilt, but I think I am too impatient, I prefer smaller projects like tablerunners and wallhangings.
And in January you can buy Christmas fabrics to reduced prize. I found a fabric with Nativity scenes, I have an idea in my head of a wallhanging with a mix of quilt blocks and this nativity fabric. Time will show if I get it done, or if it will only stay in my imagination! I have started with a small wallhanging from a piece of the fabric. It is a quick and simple quilt, but I think it is decorative.
Now I am making a bag. It is "Jenny", designed by Bente Malm. It is a new pattern for me and interesting to sew. After making 12 bags from the same pattern I thought it was time to move on to a new one. I love to make bags, and even if some are made with same fabrics, no one are exact alike. Each bag I make is unique.
Here is some of Mathilde's sommerbag, designed by AnnAKa, which I have made so many of.
If you want to see more of what I have made, I had a summary of the crafts I made in 2013 HERE
I hope you have enjoyed your stay and welcome back!
