Cecilie Kaurin and Linn Bryhn Jacobsen who have made the book Hønsestrikk til folket ("Chicken Knitting to the people"), talked about the concept "chicken knitting" and showed many nice models from the book. "Chicken Knitting" is knitting with colorful borders and motifs. "Chicken Knitting" originated in Denmark in the 1970s, and the first book of such motifs were created by Kirsten Hofstätter who released the book on self-publishing, Hønsetryk, hence the name Hønsestrikk.

And, yes, I said yarn, right? No wonder we are tempted when we sit right in the sweet shop!
There are a lot of fine yarns that you do not get anywhere, so some was home with me this time too. The white should be used along with some nice colors I bought on the gathering last year. Will be mittens, I think.
There was also a raffle with lots of great prizes. I was lucky to win a package with yarn and pattern for mittens!
