It is already a new weekend after a very nice Easter celebration with all three boys home. It was beautiful sunny days and nice and warm in the sun. I didn't write on the blog the Easter week, and these socks were finished before the Easter celebration. Røff og Tøff (Rough & Tough) from Bitta Mikkelborg's book Sokker, strikking hele året (Sock-knitting all year). They are knitted in a yarn I have not tried before, Online Supersocke cotton stretch, on needles 2.25. It consists of 41% wool, 39% cotton, 13% polyamide, 7% polyester. With such a large percent cotton, I think that it might be nice to socks for summer. So now they will be tested :)
Skikkelig store kluter! Mønsteret er fra Drops design .
And even though it was Easter I finished Christmas potholders that I started before Christmas :) They are knitted in Paris on needles 4. Really big potholders! The pattern is from Drops design. English pattern HERE.
And at the Facebook group to Bitta there was Easter dish cloth competition. To participate in the drawing you had to knit with some yellow or orange yarn in the cloth. I had some yellow, and some orange so it became a striped cloth in the pattern White Birch.
Mer bjørk - more birch:
The sun and warmer weather has got the spring coming quickly. The birch tree is lit so beautifully in the sun with their new fresh green leaves. Unfortunately the birch pollen is bad for many allergy sufferers. I read at the pollen forecast that there was extreme spread of pollen now. I'm allergic to birch pollen too, but are so lucky that allergy medication works well.
But a beautiful picture of a birch can all enjoy!
