Also this week I have knit a headband. Maybe it's because it feels a little like spring? This pattern is from the Facebook group to Fru Soleng. The headband is called "Heather" and I have knit it with
scrap yarn of Vestlandsgarn and needles 3.5mm. It was the right size for me.
On Thursday I had a nice day in Oslo with middle son who lives there. He made the plans for our day. First stop was the Akershus Fortress. A lone guard!
It was not open so we could get inside, but it was nice view from there and nice buildings.
The plan was to have lunch at the Library Bar at Bristol. But it is a very popular restaurant, especially at lunch time, and we thought it was too long to wait for a table. So we ended up instead a little further down the street at Kaffistova, which has traditional Norwegian food. . Each Thursday is Raspeball Thursday. Raspeball is one of the names on the traditional Norwegian potato dumplings. I had raspeballer and my son had meatballs. Very good!
Then we went on to
Kunstindustrimuseet. There was much to see, but not allowed to take pictures. I also forgot to take a picture outside , so this picture I have borrowed from folk.uio.
Morsomt at slike hus fremdeles finnes midt i storbyen. Then we went down Fredensborgveien where these charming small, old houses are preserved and still in use as homes. Nice that this kind of houses still exist in the middle of the bustling city.
Next we visited Mathallene (Food halls). In an industrial building by the river is collected many eateries and shops with a bit more upscale foods.
Sønn beundrer Akerselva. Son looks at the river Akerselva.
Vår koselige dag sammen ble avsluttet med kaffe i hans leilighet i denne gata. Takk for hyggelig tur K ! Our nice day together ended with coffee in his apartment in this street. Thank you for a nice day, K !
