At Projo's Facebook page there was a request to knit Christmas gifts to children in Ukraine. I found this pattern on Ravelry and thought this snowman face would give extra joy. I think the mittens were a bit large compared to the hat, although I knitted the hat slightly larger than the pattern. I plan to knit one more set, but then conversely, smaller mittens and larger hat, so there will be two sets.
I knitted them with Spar Kjøp's Safir Yarn from stash, and have not enough left of the red yarn, but I am going to buy more. It was that about using scrap yarn ..... often it's just not enough. But it has to be allowed to buy more yarn when it goes to a good cause! Designer is Wendy Gaal and pattern can be purchased HERE
As a child I always dreamed about winning the baby doll with wardrobe in the raffle when I was on a bazaar. ( In Norway there is almost always a doll as one of the prizes) I had my Anne doll, but she was not a baby doll. I wanted so much to have a baby doll. On Wednesday the Mission group I'm in had the yearly bazaar, and guess who won baby doll with bed and clothing - it was me! I think probably it was a little late getting my wish fulfilled when I've passed the 60 :D
