But then I had to wait with the next step while I washed the fabric I should use for backing. (Can not remember everything, when one is eager to start) Then I had to find another little project in the meantime. I have a great collection of Australian quilt magazines, Creating Country Threads. There I found a little project that I plan to use for something special later, therefore it is just a taster now.
But I have not stopped knitting!! In 2013 I was joining the Projo's mitten knitalong and knit a pair of mittens or wristwarmers of the month. There were 78 people who completed all months, total there was knitted 2,226 pair of mittens over the year! Among those who completed it was the draw of prizes and I was lucky to win a mitten package. I got 2 skeins Rauma Old Series and a pattern called Denver. I'm already working on them.
KPK-Ukraina i mars.
I also knitted two pairs of children's socks, size, I'm not sure. It's been so long since I had close contact with small children's feet. They shall be sent to a lady who via Projo has called for help to knit for poor children in Ukraine. She will go with the foundation KPK-Ukraine in March. The first pair is knitted with Silja, needles 2.5. They are called Vilje and are from Bitta Mikkelborg's book.
Next it is Beautiful Noah, even those from Bitta's book. The yarn is Sterk, needles 2.5
Today we got some sun after weeks with rain and cloudy weather! Then we got this beautiful striped sunset!
