Fikk brukt opp litt restegarn :)
In the November challenge at Projo mitten along, I decided to knit Flora wristwarmers. They are designed by Maria Gustafsson. They were fun to knit with techniques from Estonia. The outer part is knitted in Estonian "fiskfjäll"pattern. The inner part is decorated in roositud. Roositud is a technique where one kind of embroider with yarn in a contrasting color while knitting. It was pretty easy. There are many explanations for how it's done when you search on Google. Gives a nice effect! Between the two parts it is an Estonian knitted braid. The pattern can be purchased here http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flora-mudd-med-fiskfjallsmonster-och-roositud
I knitted them in Drops Karisma on needles 4. I got used some scraps :)
And although I've knit both socks and mittens throughout the year, I start with new plans for Christmas gifts! I've knit a sock on the basis of a Drops pattern. It was not quick to knit so I'll just have to keep on with the next. Took me a little break to make the November wrist warmers :)
Even if the trees have lost the colorful fall leaves it is beautiful also on a sunny day in November. All seasons have it's own charm.
