There has not been any finished products to show off and then there has not been any blogging. There is much to do in the garden at this time of year. But I am knitting in between gardening. I have been knitting up to the sleeves on the alpaca jacket I'm working on as a long-term project, and I knit at the sleeves. Trying to knit them parallel.
But now it's June and time for June mittens in the mittens knit-along. I have started to knit Florisse Mittens designed by Bitta Mikkelborg. The color on the picture is wrong, it should be purple!
And I have got a great yarn gift from my pen friend Donna in Ohio.It is alpacka and bamboo. It is so lovely and soft so I think I will use it for something to wear around the neck.
Made in Staffordshire England. In connection with gardening and clearing up I have also been a few trips to the dump. And then I saved the life of this little treasure. It was so nicely placed beside the container of non-combustible material, was probably someone who did not have the heart to throw it, hoping someone would take it. The stamp under says Tonquin by Myott . Made in Staffordshire England. I searched the web, and at Replacements I found a picture of one just like this, it was for sale for $ 65. Another place I read that they were produced around 1982, so it is not so very old. The most important is that I thought it was very cute :)
