The May mittens in Projo mitten knitalong is designed by Wenche Roald and called Anne's Flower. I knitted them in Cascade 220 Fingering on needles 2,5. The pattern can be bought on Ravelry, at Projo you can also buy package of yarn + pattern. I bought my yarn at the Knit gathering, there was so incredibly many nice colors. I had in mind that it might appear a mitten pattern in the knitalong where I could use it. I am very pleased with the yarn and the color. These mittens I want for myself!
This years National day was celebrated with children's parade, lots of people and beautiful sun and suddenly summer! This day I wear my national costume - bunad. It is an Åmli bunad from Aust Agder.
I have followed the competition Norway baking on TV. One of the judges was Pascal Dupuy, who is one of Norway's best pastry chefs. After seeing Pascal's own method in the last program, I was inspired to try to make the Pascal Fraisier. So it became the 17th May cake. I do not know if it had been approved by Pascal . I baked half portion and had not quite as wide range of cake tins so I had to adapt a bit and it was not as nice and flat on top, as he said was very important :) But then I'm not in a competition either. It was yummy!
